Seven Feasts of the Lord

Feast Days

These are not Jewish Feast days but they were to celebrate them and look forward to the Lord fulfilling them. They are the Feasts of the Lord.

Imminent vs. Fulness of time

I Corinthians 15: 52 says “a moment” not any moment but a specific moment in the future. The word “imminent” is not in the NT.

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, Galatians 4:4

Jesus first coming was in the fulness of time. When He came He said that He would fulfill the law and save the lost who receive Him.

Matthew 5

17. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Leviticus 23 is the Lord’s Feast days. He has fulfilled 4 of the 7 feast days and will fulfill the other 3.

Circumstantial Evidence

  1. Vatican prophecy 1200 years old: the present Pope today is the False Prophet during the Tribulation
  2. In 2006 one of the most respected Rabbis in Israel who was 108 years old
    1. Gave the Messiah’s name
    2. Said He is coming back shortly after the death of Ariel Sharon

i.      In a coma since January of 2006

ii.      He died January 2014

  1. 4 Blood Moons in two years all on Jewish feast days called a Tetrarch to take place 2014 & 2015 some say this is in fulfillment of Joel 2:31
  2. Wonder in heaven: the stars lining up as in Revelation 12:1-2
  3. The sun not to give light 2021 as in Matthew 24:29
  4. Knowledge shall be increased Daniel 12:4 (not the information age or internet but Biblical knowledge)
  5. Jesus has fulfilled the first 4 of the 7 Feast Days. The Feast of Trumpets is next on the list.
    1. Trumpet sounds and shouting is a picture of the Rapture
    2. 2014 Feast of Trumpets takes place on Thursday and/or Friday like the original.
    3. All of the Lord’s Feast days in 2014 are on the same day of the week as the originals.

Are these signs a warning to get busy soul winning because the end is near or a distraction to sidetrack us? Please note the title of this section is circumstantial evidence; I am not setting a date but like every Bible believing preacher I am suggesting that it is later then you think and time to get busy.

As it was in the days of ______ so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Lord. Luke 17:26 & 28

  • Noah prepared, preached, and took his family.
  • Lot did not prepare or preach and lost his family.

Three groups of people

  1. Those prepared for Judgment and take all responders with them above the Judgment.
  2. Those not preparing others for Judgment are taken above the Judgment but lose relations.
  3. Those not prepared for Judgment go into Judgment.

Times of the Gentiles vs. the Fullness of the Gentiles

Daniel 9 24a

What is the difference between the Times of the Gentiles and the Fullness of the Gentiles? Times is plural because there are four Gentile kingdoms that rise up.

Fulness in Romans 11 (of Gentiles) is the same root word as to be filled in Ephesians 5:18 which is the command to be controlled by the Holy Spirit. During the “Fulness of Time” the Gentiles become the ones to control in the world.

Under the old and the new covenants becoming a believer by either Jew or Gentile; faith is the requirement. That has never changed. Romans 3:1-2 informs us that there are many advantages of coming to faith from being a Jew. They grew up learning the traditions which all point to their Messiah who is Jesus. There are also hindrances of coming to that name for a Jew.

Until a Jew or a Gentile learns of their need and receives the one that the Bible describes as their saviour they will be separated from fellowship with God.

God’s Time Limit

Dan 9 24

God has set time limits. Over 2,500 years ago the Lord sent Gabriel to tell Daniel about one of God’s deadlines.

The time limit was understood to be weeks of years or 490 years. That is an interesting number that keeps appearing.

First time: Abraham to the Exodus.

  • The promise given in Genesis 12:4 75 years
  • And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. Galatians 3:17
  • Ishmael: Genesis 16:16, 21:5 is a time out of 15 years.

So we add the 75 + 430 – 15 = 490 years

Second time: Exodus to the Temple

I Kings 6-8 is 594, I Kings 6:38 is 7 totaling 601 but we need to remove the time outs for being in servitude

  • Mesopotamia 8 years Judges 3:8
  • Moabites 18 years Judges 3:12-14
  • Canaanites 20 years Judges 4:2-3
  • Midianites 7 years Judges 6:1
  • Ammonites 18 years Judges 10:7-8
  • Philistines 40 years Judges 13:1

Totaling 111 years in bondage taken from the 601 equals 490 years.

Third time: Temple to the edict of Artaxerxes

  • I Kings 8:1-66 1005 BC
  • Nehemiah 2:1 minus 445 BC
  • Equals 560 years
  • Minus the Babylonian captivity of 70 years

Equals 490 years

Fourth time: Artaxerxes to the second coming of Jesus

  • Artaxerxes to the 1st advent “the 69 weeks” 69×7=483 years
  • Church interval is unknown and superfluous for this calculation
  • Daniel’s 70th week is 7 years

Again totaling 490 years

Fifth is not a time but how many times God forgives.

Matthew 18

21 ¶  Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22  Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

23  Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.

Again 490

I wonder how many times God’s Holy Spirit strives with us during our three score and ten.

Two Princes fight The Battle of the Ages

Battle of Ages

Satan claims an involuntary enlistment of everyone since the fall of Adam and Eve. When one receives the gift of salvation they have automatically moved their enlistment from the dark team to the team of light.

Two Princes

  • From the 1st day of Creation                           from Eternity Past
  • Until the last day of Creation                         throughout Eternity Future
  • Prince and Power of the Air                           Messiah the Prince
  • Declared lie in Garden: no consequences       declared war: the Battle of the Ages
  • Self exaltation                                                 exalted by God the Father
  • Timed for his advantage                                 in the fullness of time
  • Satan’s people are living lies                           Messiah’s people are living Truth
  • Confirms the covenant                                    concludes the consummation
  • Destroys the city and the sanctuary                builds the city, is the sanctuary
  • Began the war in the Garden                          ends the war

Daniel 9:26

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

“…there is no discharge in that war …” Ecclesiastes 8:8

One way or another the devil keeps all of his enlistees active. The Lord has many that are AWOL: Absent With Out Leave. The devil’s team works all of the time justifying their lifestyle. Many on the Lord’s team are doing the same thing.

Do you recognize that you are enlisted in the Battle of the Ages?

Faith moves Mountains

Faith moves mountains

Faith the size of a mustard seed moves mountains. The largest mountain you will ever move is explained in John 4 where the woman at the well talks about the two mountains where the Jews and Samaritans worshiped. When you learn the message of the mountains and move to the Son of Man you just changed your eternal destiny and that is a big move from Hell to Heaven.

A mustard seed is the size of a 10 point pica period in print. Jesus made it that simple to change your eternal destiny. Salvation is not accomplished at a place but in a person; Jesus Christ.

One Evidence of Salvation

There is only one evidence of salvation; faith. I was there when I committed my soul to His keeping. When I forget who I am in Christ and live like the world, controlled by the flesh, and do the things that please the devil; Jesus does not forget me. I am kept by His power and will be disciplined with His love.

Many Counterfeits

Consider this short incomplete list that any person with religion and without Jesus can accomplish:

  • Crying his way to the altar
  • Laughing and rejoicing
  • Submitting to baptism
  • Joining a church
  • Speaking in tongues
  • Slain in the spirit and falling down
  • Laughing in the spirit
  • Turning from sins
  • Reading the Bible
  • Memorizing scripture
  • Praying
  • Giving
  • Taking communion
  • Going to Bible College
  • Becoming a preacher
  • Winning another to faith (Judas took part in this)

If there was a time when you received Christ by faith without any works or commitment on your part other than that you committed to faith in His finished work on the cross then;

  • He saved you
  • Sealed you with the Holy Spirit
  • Put you into the body of Christ
  • Made you a new creation
  • Gave you a new soul that cannot sin: I John 3:9
  • Left the old soul intact until the Judgment Seat of Christ
  • Now you have to make a choice daily and moment by moment which soul to feed to determine which one will grow strong and control your activities.

Quit looking for evidences and start walking by faith.

Questions a Legalist cannot answer without a Biblical definition of Repentance

The issue here is a misunderstanding of the word repentance. These people are well meaning and in many cases are saved in spite of their message not because of the way they pervert the truth. The committed legalist or one that is just stuck with a message he has heard many times and has bought into will find a reason not to deal with the truth revealed below.

The Bible says: all have sinned and that includes me.

  • If I quit sinning will that work?
  • If I promise to quit will that work?
  • If I turn from my sin will that work?
  • If I repent of my sin will that work?

If I were able to do the above then my problem would be my past sins.

  • I tried to quit as a 9 year old and found it impossible.
  • A promise to do the impossible is vain effort and God mocks those without Him.
  • The lost cannot turn from sin but His people are commanded to turn from wicked ways in verses like II Chronicles 7:14 but note that these are His people. New Testament believers receive the power to turn from sin after coming into the family of God by faith in Jesus without any human effort.
  • Repent of sin is a term not found in the New Testament

Those stuck in this accursed message fail to see that God repents more than anyone and He never sinned.

John 3:18 says “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

So when a condemned person believes God repents. God changes His thinking about sending him to hell and writes his name in the Lambs Book of life.

Those stuck with a false message are prone to confuse the issue by quoting passages that say a person must repent to go to heaven.

  • Does a person have to repent to be saved? Yes.
  • The real question is what is repentance? A change of mind, a new way of thinking
  • Is changing from unbelief to belief repentance? Yes.
  • Why do some cloud the issue with confusing a term? The focus should be changing an unbelievers mind.
  • How does one clear up the confusion? Give well researched Biblical definitions.
  • How do I answer those that agree “turning from sin” is not in the NT but the concept is? Ask for two verses. Because Bible doctrine is built on two or three witnesses not man’s thinking.

Example: I use to think that I had to keep the 10 Commandments for one week to earn heaven. Then I heard the truth that Jesus paid the complete payment and the only thing I could do was to receive the gift of His offer by faith.

If you agree I would appreciate it if you would like and share on Facebook.

What did Jesus do as God?

Phil 2 5 8

Jesus last act as God was to be conceived then He became the God/man. After that he did everything as a man filled (controlled) by the Holy Spirit. This means that in John 4:4 when scripture reveals for us that “he must needs go through Samaria” He has just learned The Father’s will from the Holy Spirit.

At conception Jesus was the only begotten Son of God who became the Son of man. Now Jesus is “the firstborn among many brethren.” See Romans 8:29

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38

“Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.” Isaiah 42:1

1 ¶  The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2  To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; Isaiah 61

“And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;” Isaiah 11:2

Before He became a man He created all of creation as the Son of God. Now He claims a new title; Son of man. Only two people in the New Testament call him the Son of man. First is Stephen when he is being stoned to death he sees him standing at the right hand of God. The only other is John in the Revelation.

“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” I John 3:2

“And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” Romans 8:17

When we see Jesus we will be like Him. We will be people controlled by the Holy Spirit. Our rewards are determined while we are here in this life and relate to a rank structure in heaven.

A Celebration of God Coming to the Earth

Merry Christmas

Today many will have a celebration for Jesus coming to the earth. Many picture Jesus in a manger at Christmas time.

“For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?” Hebrews 1:5

I believe there was a day that God the Father said “good bye” to His Son in heaven. That day was not at the birth of Jesus but when He was conceived.

Jesus has a preferred title: Son of Man. He does let us know that He is the Son of God from eternity but this day is something that He has waited for with great expectation even more expectation that a young child waiting to open presents on Christmas day.

In eternity past when God had perfect fellowship they decided to make Jesus the Lamb of God slain before the foundation of the world. When Jesus is conceived it is with the goal that He will be crucified to redeem mankind that He lost through the lie of Satan.

Most Bible scholars believe that Jesus was born in the fall of the year. So if you do the math by backing up through the gestation period of 38-42 weeks it could be Christmas that He was conceived.

Christmas actually has pagan roots dating back to Nimrod and the Tower of Babel but don’t let that discourage you from celebrating the reason for the season and the easiest time of the year to tell people why Jesus came to die so that we might live.

Merry Christmas

When did the Serpent come into the Garden of Eden?

The Lord put His case to rest on the seventh day. His last command was to “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth,” the command to replenish is because the animals were already told to “Be fruitful, and multiply,” but Eve saw the multiplying process of the animals and wanted to know what took place before she arrived.

While Adam is filling in Eve on the events before and after his creation Lucifer is making his case in Heaven. He draws one third of the angels to his team and they are promptly thrown out of heaven. You will often see them in heaven again because they report to the Lord often and are used to accomplish His purposes. Satan’s dominion is in the air and he is called the prince and the power of the air until the middle of the Tribulation when he is send to the earth.

Satan then comes into the body of a serpent which is a certain kind of dragon (see Revelation 20:2) to make his case before mankind in the Garden of Eden. From beginning to end Satan seems to believe that the universe is a democracy with the leader determined by the majority. Believers are theocratic meaning we are looking for the King of kings who will rule the universe.

Satan quickly wins his case and just as quickly loses both of his subjects.

Where was Adam while Satan talked with Eve?

How did Satan win so easily?

What did Jesus do?

Matthew 5:6 Hungering and Thirsting for Righteousness

Matt 5 6

Righteousness requires a pattern and a purpose to attain.

I remember being in a room with 102 families in 1984 trying to come up with something that pictured hungering and thirsting at the same time.  A man on a desert only pictured thirsting. A child with a swollen belly only pictured hungering. Then one suggested a baby bird that totally dependent on the parents. We could all picture the small bird with a mouth pointing up as the parent returned to the nest. The small one grows to look like the one giving the nourishment.
