Righteousness requires a pattern and a purpose to attain.
I remember being in a room with 102 families in 1984 trying to come up with something that pictured hungering and thirsting at the same time. A man on a desert only pictured thirsting. A child with a swollen belly only pictured hungering. Then one suggested a baby bird that totally dependent on the parents. We could all picture the small bird with a mouth pointing up as the parent returned to the nest. The small one grows to look like the one giving the nourishment.
